I decided that I really didn't need a 5.1 setup and my room doesn't require require it anyway. Have been used on gaming, music, movies you name it, it does it with great finesse and vigor. As above, still sounds as good as when I brought them. Only complaints I have is the volume adjustment ring is a tad sensitive and also the speakers now screches as I adjust the volume up and down.

I guess it much be wear and tear of the electrical components. Might try to look into replace the controller interface to see if it can be fixed as the speakers are still performing well.Easy to set up straight out of the box, it hooked up to the TV with little effort. The sound is amazing, although I wouldn't expect anything less from a company like Bose; and the 2 speakers can really blast it out when it comes to it. Like other users I have noted the humming the sub produces, but with a little bass adjustment this becomes a non-issue. The pod that comes with it is a smooth device, and very sensitive. Through my TV remote I can control the sound coming through the speakers and enhance it even more with the pod (not sure how this works; it must be the TV, as my brother-in-law has this system too and can't get that set up!) as well as hook another device to it such as an ipod or netbook. A fantastic replacement for the meagre speakers you find in flat screens these days, and without the space consumption of a full 5.1 but capable of just as much. Definitely worth looking into.I read the reviews and thought this is exactly what I needed, great sound, minimum amount of wires and speakers. The sound quality is what you'd expect from Bose:- excellent. My 7 in 1 system was louder, but the sound quality from the Bose speaker is a lot deeper and clearer. I would recommend to anyone thinking about updating their computer sound system.I anticipated these being great sound but having not heard them before purchasing i was anxious to see i had made the right choice but once i plugged the system in there was no confusion in my my mind, these speakers are amazing. The great bass from the sub combined with the clarity produced from the 2 smaller speakers makes for a great sound experience.

These maybe expensive but why buy several sets of cheaper speakers when you can just make the right choice first time round:)We have taken the stands off the two little speakers and they fit perfectly under our tv.
