Mahesh N 4.0 out of 5 stars Given the requirement of the Bose speakers to be used only via the powered accoustimass module, the adapter was the only product available that does the trick. The product is very simple to set up and works very well once completed. Two points that i would like to mention about some of the quirks of the adapter kit. 1. 14 gauge wire does not easily go into the slot at the back of the adapter, so hopefully Bose reviews the product design and makes the notches appropriately wider. 2. The adapter board itself connects to a low voltage gang box.

This creates problems as the cover plate that goes on top of the adapter also needs a small screw to complete the aesthetic look. But alas, this needs an extra hole which is typically not available unless the buyer makes an additional hole either in the wall or on the back of the media cabinet. If the product designers merge the two together, it will eliminate the need of extra holes. Once set up, the product works great. Now i wish if only Bose also comes up with cables that eliminate the need of the LOOOOOOONG cables required from the powered module to the receiver as part of the accessories for AM6 and AM10.Looks to fit the bill well on a pre-wired BOSE sound system in our home.Quality is great (speaker wire is a very low gauge wire), connectors are gold-plated, etc. This will only become an issue if you plan on integrating it with another outlet so not a major issue. Edit: after having this for some time we are finally getting around to installing it. I didn’t realize it at first but the bass module chords cannot be fed through it. What are you supposed to do if you have the control module up on a shelf and you want the bass module elsewhere. This is only good if your control module is next to the bass module and you don’t care about the wires (and bulky power adapter) for it showing. Not entirely useless but really only gets you half way to its intended use.Connecting this wire to adapter was a nightmare getting my soldered ends connected. I needed to solder and file the ends to make them work. I wanted a clean speaker connection in my newly constructed home, but would advise not using this expensive inferior product.This is great for people that have speaker cable in their house and want a single plug to add in their Bose setup. It worked great with my lifestyle system, and had the same Bose quality that you expect. Now if I want to move my module for cleaning or whatever, one plug and all speakers are disconnected. Perfect!

I don't use a Bose amplifier, but I still had to run all my wires from my amplifier to my subwoofer. Then this adapter connects the subwoofer to the wall where all the speaker wire are. I've installed at least 30 of these by now, and about ten wired to the console. Front right, center front left on the left side, right rear and left rear on the bottom of the right side of the plate. Thanks, I never would have figured that out. Is that documented in the manual. The manual doesn't even give you the part number for the in-wall kit, I spent about 30 minutes on the phone with Bose before they figured out what I wanted.I can't get the adaptiq to work.

I have double checked each speaker polarity is correct between the kit and the speaker. I followed the directions and the insert to make sure each is in the correct slot on the wall unit. When I perform the speaker set up, sound comes out of the correct speakers but when I run the adaptiq it says the headset is not receiving any information and can't complete. It instructs me to call Bose and give them error code 5. I've called in 3 different time and spoke to three different techs who all run me through the same troubleshooting scenarios. The last person I spoke with told me it was probably a bad system so they sent me a whole new system. I replaced everything and it still doesn't work. The only variable that hasn't been replaced is the in wall wiring kit. Have you ever heard of anything like this. When I run adaptiq the sounds come out of the speakers. I also had them send me a different headset thinking maybe the microphones in it were bad. I'm at a loss at this point and they don't know how to help me. The system sounds horrible when you can't complete the adaptiq. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Good bass? I love the simplicity of the Bose systems, would love to get one. All there is to it. My home was pre-wired with two banana plug jack panels. I simply removed one banana plug jack panel and replaced it with the Bose panel (you have to reconnect those wires to the Bose panel anyway). Faisal 5.0 out of 5 stars See all 2 customer reviews Write a customer review It was very simple to install my Invisible 300 speakers to the stands, which are very high quality and you have the freedom of placing them and moving them where you want and not simply fixed to the wall. Of course you can buy other brands for much less, but you won't be able to use with the Bose speakers, however the quality of the Bose stand is much higher than other products, as it is with all Bose products. Highly recommend. The directions are pictures only and do not show how to use them with these speakers. You need the correct back plate to go with these speakers and this model does NOT come with them. You need to call Bose and have them send you the correct brackets that are compatible with these speakers. Also, you need to 'click' in the backplate to make it secure. The directions do not show that either. I finally got it together using the wrong plates, it does work but puts un-needed stress on the wiring into the speaker. I'm waiting for the correct brackets to show up, but in the meantime I have it working. Having said all that, the stands are sturdy and stylish and have a 'canal' down the back of them to hide the wire. Overall, very nice stands,just make sure you know what you need before assembly.

Even though the Bose stands are not adjustable, the 38 inch height is perfect for my room configuration. Really nice looking and modern. The best thing about the stands is the speaker wires fit into a groove on the back of the stand, there is no need to shove wires into a tube like most other stands. This helps because you can keep the speaker wire slack until the speakers are hooked up properly, then tighten the slack as needed when the wires are placed into the grooves.
