Pero lo que no seran capaces de efectuar son las operaciones propiamente epistemologicas de plantearse un problema, seleccionar el tipo de datos capaces de resolverlo e interpretar el valor y el sentido de los mismos. Y es mas, podriamos decir que una cierta dosis de subjetividad no solo es inevitable en un trabajo de investigacion, sino que es ademas indispensable. Porque para plantearse un problema de conocimiento, es decir, para querer saber algo, se necesita de una voluntad, de una preocupacion por conocer la verdad y esclarecer la duda, que no puede ser sino subjetiva. 2. Objeto: Es aquello a lo que se dirige la conciencia, ya sea de una manera cognoscitiva, ya sea volitiva. Es lo que se percibe, imagina, concibe o piensa. Su funcion es ser aprehensible y aprehendido por el sujeto. Los objetos pueden ser reales o irreales; llamamos real todo lo que nos es dado en la experiencia externa o interna o se infiere algo de ella. Los objetos irreales se presentan, por el contrario, como meramente pensados. El conocimiento es siempre conocimiento para alguien, pensado por alguien, en la conciencia de alguien. Es por eso que no podemos imaginar un conocimiento sin sujeto, sin que sea percibido por una determinada conciencia. Pero, de la misma manera, podemos decir que el conocimiento es siempre conocimiento de algo, de alguna cosa, ya se trate de un ente abstracto-ideal, como un numero o una proposicion logica, de un fenomeno material o aun de la misma conciencia. En todos los casos, a aquello que es conocido se lo denomina objeto de conocimiento. 3.

Medio: generalmente hayausencia de medios especiales, los instrumentos de trabajo son a la vez medios, del conocimiento de la realidad. Abstraccion y conceptualizacion El conocimiento puede ser considerado como una representacion conceptual de los objetos, como una elaboracion que se produce, por lo tanto, en la mente de los hombres. Desde este punto de vista puede afirmarse que es una actividad intelectual que implica siempre una operacion de abstraccion. Si decimos que todo conocimiento es conocimiento para un sujeto, admitimos entonces que en dicho sujeto el conocimiento se presenta bajo la forma de pensamiento, es decir, bajo una forma que en un sentido amplio podemos llamar teorica. Su contraparte son los fenomenos de la realidad, los objetos exteriores o exteriorizados, sobre los cuales se detiene el pensamiento. Puede establecerse de algun modo, por ello, que entre teoria y practica se presenta una interaccion del mismo tipo que la que observabamos entre sujeto y objeto. El pensamiento se concibe como pensamiento de alguien, de los sujetos, y la teoria no es otra cosa que el pensamiento organizado y sistematico respecto de algo. El objeto, por otra parte, es siempre un conjunto de hechos (entendido estos en un sentido amplio, que incluye hasta los mismos pensamientos), de objetos que se situan en el exterior de la conciencia. Por este motivo la relacion entre teoria y hechos va a ser la expresion, en otro plano diferente, de la misma relacion que examinabamos anteriormente entre sujeto y objeto. Pero no debe pensarse que tal relacion es de tipo mecanico o simple. Ciertas vertientes epistemologicas, en sus formulaciones mas extremas, han sostenido que los hechos se reflejan directamente en la conciencia y que por lo tanto todo el trabajo intelectual consiste en organizar y sistematizar tales percepciones para poder elaborar la teoria correspondiente.
