Lily Gibbs 3.0 out of 5 stars It has very few photos, which I always enjoy in preparation for a trip, and even fewer maps. Also the type is very small; I suppose that is to make it compact, which it is. However, as I read sections of the book, along with another I purchased(DK Eyewitness), I find the information well written, straightforward and I think useful. Only the trip itself will confirm that.Small and easy to carry with strong cover. As well as details on various destinations in Cambodia, hotels, sights, restaurants it has a section on the history of Cambodia with special reference to the Angkor and Khmer Rouge periods. The sections on Angkor Wat, Angkor Tom and the other ruins around Siem Reap are extremely good.
Also well informed about Phnom Penh. Very good on hotels and places to stay and on dangers in Cambodia. All you need if you are going there. Sun, sea and sand are offered in abundance in the Caribbean. Footprint’s 7th edition Handbook will guide you from religious complexes to royal palaces.
