The pictures and models are very useful in comparing and contrasting the present to the past. However, this book is not ideal for finding extremely in-depth information on each ruin, only the general is covered.

I would definately recommend this book for someone visiting Rome or a curious intellectual striving for more knowledge in a fun way.To see what was there before and what is left still today is awe inspiring.
