I found the previous 2006 edition really poor and with little detail, that is why at first I was apprehensive about buying this 2015 edition. Rival revision guides by RRC are good, so I took a chance on this Ed Ferrett book with scepticism. I find this in fact even more helpful than the ?39.99 2015 NEBOSH Ed Ferrett study text as that book is not in a chronological order relating to the actual NEBOSH 2015 Syllabus, element by element., and rival Study texts by RRC and RMS do follow the syllabus in order. This 'green' book has great articles on the new CDM 2015 regulations, Safe systems of work, Permit to work systems, and on the 2013 plan-do-check-act management plan cycle and I will be using it a lot now. If I pass in December it will be thanks to the supplier and Amazons excellent supply service. Really appreciate this.A must buy for anybody who needs to study the subject. It condenses everything out of the huge book into bite size understandable language. I really don't believe I would have passed without this. Worth every penny! And helped me avoid a retest ??Covers units well, but I would certainly say that it needs to be used WITH the main texts and not instead of as a revision tool. This book is great for on the train or on your break as a mop up, to gain an overview of the unit sections or to jog your memory on certain areas but the main texts will give the real detail which is still needed. Great little book and really useful. Simplifies things nicely where the main texts can be very detail heavy and overload you a bit at times. Worth every pennyIf you know your subject and just need to check on lists and key facts, this is worth buying.

Here's one we made earlier: Here are the rules: If you half-remember the answer, put it in the 'not sure' box and if you get it completely wrong, or draw a blank, put it in the 'can't remember' box. If you get it wrong, move it back to the 'can't remember' box. If you get the question right again, move the card into the fourth 'nailed it' box - you're ready. Not only are you reading the information more regularly, but you're also making colour associations and a physical revision map around your home. Try not to get disheartened if you can't remember or retell the information on the first few goes. Just like an A-Level, you must prepare for how you'll tackle the exam, as well as revise the NEBOSH syllabus. It could be 30 minutes on a question worth eight marks. You don't need expensive equipment - just use an app on your smartphone. You've already paid for a qualified trainer. If you download an unreliable and unverified audiobook, it could be out of date - the NEBOSH syllabus was revised in 2019. That extends your opportunities to revise. You can listen and get on with your life, which doesn't stop just because you've got an exam coming up.

Say them aloud to yourself, explain what they mean to your housemates and family. You're excited to get started, so why wait. Here's some bedtime reading to whet your appetite and prepare your mind for the qualification. Whether you're buying a textbook or a NEBOSH audiobook, check what you're buying will support your studies: Do other learners rate the content? The new NEBOSH General Certificate course covers 11 elements split into two modules (NG1 and NG2). You can read the full breakdown on our course contents page. There's no need to lose any sleep over it, especially with the NEBOSH assessment pack. It's a must-read. You'll go into the training with your critical eyes open to risks and hazards. The infographic shows you the full extent of workplace injuries and illnesses. Why should you read it. It's all context that'll explain why the course syllabus is built the way it is. Take a close look at: You'll see risk assessment and all its flaws in a global context. NEBOSH's principles will help you to manage your health and safety and safeguard your company against risk, but it's not the only way of doing it. For example, we provide health and safety training from numerous other awarding bodies, IOSH and Highfield to name just two others. They're a bit pricey. Are they worth the money.
