Connections - Water inlet.Connections - Water drainage. Every washing machine that leaves our factory is carefully checked to ensure that it is functioning properly and is free of defects. If there are any questions - especially in regards to installing and connecting the washing machine - our Customer Service is at your disposal. The washing machine is very heavy. Take care when lifting it. Frozen hoses may tear or burst. Do not install the washing machine in an area where there is a risk of freezing or outdoors. The information is given by the following symbols: WASHING (Washtub) Special Normal Normal Gentle Normal Gentle Gentle Gentle Do not. It's vitally important that these are removed before the appliance is installed and used. They are located at the back of the appliance and are removed with a spanner. Replace them with the blanks provided. Keep the transit bolts safe in case you need to transport the washing machine in the future. 2. You will then need to connect the cold water pipe and waste pipe connection. Check the installation instructions to identify these pipes. You will need to connect the cold water pipe to a cold water tap which is usually marked blue. This connection supplies water to the appliance. See the video below for two different examples of cold water taps. You can stop the water supply by turning the valve. Connect the cold water pipe to the cold water tap, tighten it fully by hand rather than with a tool and then turn the valve back on. Make sure the cold water pipe is not kinked. 3. There are two options for the waste water connection, depending on the plumbing within your home.

You can connect to a normal stand pipe which should be at least 30cm high to ensure that no waster water will re-enter the appliance but lower than the height of the appliance itself. You will find one of two waste water pipe holder depending upon the appliance you're fitting. See the video below for two examples of these waste water pipe holders. Use the holder supplied to secure the waste water pipe into position. 4. Alternatively you can attach the waste water pipe to a connection underneath the sink. Under the sink you'll see the waste connections for the appliance. These are called traps and there are a number of different types. If you are connecting to the trap for the first time, you will need to remove a blanking cap which acts as a stopper. See the video below for two variations of these blanking caps. Check there are no kinks in the pipe and connect the waste water pipe to the trap securely. 5. Bosch washing machines will plug into a standard socket. Contact a qualified professional if you have any questions or concerns about the electrics. 6. You should then check that the appliance is level by using a spirit level. This is particularly important for the installation of a washing machine in order to avoid problems with unbalanced loads. You can raise and lower the feet on the appliance to adjust the appliance level. Also ensure the appliance is stable and that it doesn't rock. If so, adjust the feet so that it is completely stable. 7. To complete the installation, switch on the appliance and run a rinse programme, checking carefully for any leaks. If none are found, move the washing machine into its final position ensuring it remains stable. Connect the cold water pipe to the cold water tap, and connect the wate water pipe to either a stand pipe or to a connection under the sink. Ensure there are no kinks in either pipe. Plug the appliance into a standard socket and check the appliance is level using a spirit level.

Also, can you use liquid bleach. And, if so, where does that go? (In my search for this information I've been really horrified to read about all the negatives experiences with this washer due to mold and smell. I am really hoping for the best here. Nothing like trekking to the opposite end of a space to get the butter you forgot. Here's a nice set up. My daughter has her range under a plate glass window so she can see the pool, and I was surprised how well it worked. You'd probably want a down draft vent system in that case. You could put the fridge on the dining space end and the ovens on the other with the cooktop in the middle. Then the sink and dish washer could go in the island with a dish and silverware drawer on the dining end to make setting the table easy. You'd not have to clutter up with stools and could have drawer storage on the back side of the island.

Maybe those solutions without much drip area management are for people rinsing in ultra-hot water in dry climates. Like many of the comments above, our remodel will have a large sink to allow an in-sink drying rack that will solve the problem of where water will drain. It seems to me that the cabinet dry racks or on-counter mats will still have a problem of dripped water unless the items are partially towel dried prior to racking. It's actually a great idea to boost speed of drying to partially towel dry items before they finish up air-drying, and I'll be including a multi-bar towel rack near my kitchen to allow for more wet towel airing, which is an entirely separate topic with threads at Houzz devoted to it, where to put your wet towels. However, pre-drying also takes more time, and sometimes you'd like to just place the wet items out and move on to your next task. I appreciated the comment of the person whose care for several children pressed minutes out of the day for extra work, and I'm in the situation of caring for a paralyzed family member which has a similar effect. In some life phases, if you can save seconds or minutes on tasks, it snowballs into felt aid by the end of the day. Everyone has different processes, but at my house we enjoy saving a little on energy costs by running the dishwasher for smaller items that benefit from being sanitized and hand-washing large pots and storage containers as you do. We use lukewarm water for washing and rinsing in the sink, and many of our storage containers have crevices that can't be dried even if towels were to be used, so air-drying can take up to 24 hours due to those factors plus our humid climate. I agree with Terry re symbols instead of words to show what to do. Nuts! So it goes, Pre-wash, main wash and Bleach. What detergents are pre-wash. I pour softner im the 3rd compartment as it goes straoght into the washer. Usually dont bother with the middle or II compartment. Any specific help. When I am done with a load I leave the door open. Never had mold or any smell issues. There should have been a RECALL by Bosch. I'm going to due the leg work to find a lawyer to take on this problem.Web searched after new reports on front loaders and mold. While I don't have mold issues, I don't recommend and would not rebuy Bosch. I have had the unexplained errors mentioned, poor spinning, looooong cycle times, useless functions I've never used, minor hardly noticeable energy savings in my house. I don't live in a humid climate and my husband and I always leave the washer door open after use to let the air circulate.it seems to have worked as I did a thorough mold inspection this a.m. It does not spin my clothes out. They are still pretty we when wash finishes. This machines sucks. I do not recomment to anyone.I also hate that this washer takes over an hour to wash my clothes.It constantly throws the E:02 error code, sometimes as much as six times during the 25 minute cycle. Yes, I've removed the front panel, unscrewed the drain plug, soaked up four towels worth of water only to see.NOTHING clogged or dirty. Yes, I've also checked the hoses for kinks, and blockages, there are NONE. Hate it so much, I'm really considering using it for target practice before they take it away and deliver my new TOP loader Whirlpool. Bosch got the only money they will ever get from me. Errors E02 every other load. Loads are small, medium or large. Washer is level. Going to bite the bullet and get a standard mechanical top loader. Mildew, clothes twisted into knots, water left in the tub. Busy mom with no time for costly, poorly engineered products. Love my Bosch stove but they can have the washer back! It takes a day to wash sheets since they become wadded into a ball and the sensor cannot tell if they are dry and you must monitor the sheets to turn the dryer on numerous times. AGGGGHHHHH -- Class action suit? However, after purchasing the washer and dryer combo have totally changed my mind about Bosch. We have had the repairman out several times because the washer doesn't spin out completly, and there are also times that I have to hold the washer down while it runs and shakes through the spin cycle. We were told to put throw rugs down on either side of the washer to prevent the machine from ruining the woodwork and trim on the laundry room floor and cabinet. Not an answer, but so far, that's all we've gotten after 3 visits from the certified repairman. We it bought as replacement to our 12 yr old Maytag and have been upset with spending such a large amount of money on such a poorly functioning washer. Often items need to washed twice to clean properly and we always have to run the extra rinse cycle. The supposed savings in energy and water never materialized and if you want to wash a pair of jeans the washer will not spin. Will never buy anything by Bosch manufactured by Bosch again. Also, I get an error message if I wash too many towels. If the machine isn't getting the water out of the clothes, try cleaning this hose. I have also had the dryer repaired about 3 times because it stops heating. It is also very squeaky. I wouldn't buy another Bosch. I am hearing very bad evaluation of both, especially of the dryer. What I do not understand, only reading all negative comments on this site, that nobody so far has launced a class action against the Bosh company. This is extremely profitable company which produces a lot of other expensive items,well beyond home appliances.

If only 50 is true what people write about this company home appliances, a class action should be taken and force this company either close their shop or return people the money they spent on their defective products. I wonder why some lawyers do not pursue an action against the Bosh company. They can make a lot of money as thousands of people cannot lie, the machines can be tested by experts to confirm or dispel the negative evaluations. If a car company had produced such defective products, there would be a recall or any punitive action against it. Pls help me understand while the Bosh company can continue producing something that does not serve its purpose, costs a lot of money and insults the intelligence of ordinary people. Many thanks. Plugged back in, still had code. Turned to off. Sat here for awhile, reading comments. Went back to machine opened door,then shut harder. Machine works fine again. I pour a little vinegar across both softener and bleach dispenser frequently, and in summer after I have washed a load and removed clothes. Also wipe out gasket and as much water as I can find, both in the soap dish and inside machine all around the door. Keeping my fingers crossed, these sound like very touchy machines. I have had mine two years now and no problems, but missed out on buying the extended warranty, something everyone should do. I purchased the machine about 3 years ago along with an extended warranty, but thought that I'd never have to use it because it was a high-end quality machine. The machine also has serious timing problems. Most of the time, it takes me about 2 hours to wash 1 load. At its worst, it has taken me over 3 hours to complete 1 load. So, I try to just spin, which is not possible on this machine. Also, I cannot wash a comforter in this machine, which is really not a good feature of a good machine.

Of course after one washes the laundry one has to leave to washer door open so the moisture can evaporate adn it does not get mold or rust, but that should be common sense. The time to wash the washer shows in the beginning is not necessarily the time it needs to wash. According how big the load it, the time gets adjusted during washing. It usually needs less time. The extra sanitary cycle needs 2 hours, but then I am sure my linen is clean. It saves water and energy I am also very happy with the dryer. It dries fast and well. Love it! Recommend it. They are the biggest crap ever, typical US. But that is what you're used to and that is what you should stick to because you can't appreciate the other! It is totally tempermental. I have spells when it will not spin, and then it will suddenly work fine for months. Now, it will begin a cycle and go immediately to spin but it actually does never spin, it only drains and stays stuck. I wish I had just purchased a simpler, less expensive model of washer.Finally after 1 year of the madness, the washer was leaking water underneath. The repairman found the right concrete counterbalance broken off and on the floor of unit; and with the violent vibrations, the boot of the washer ripped, hence, the water seeping underneath the washer. If anyone else has a violent vibration with the spin cycle and the washer is perfectly level, I recommend checking out if the washer is still balanced with the counterbalances. Do it twice as often as they recommend. This should solve mildew problems. 4. Use only HE detergent, period, and do not use too much. The container cap with most brands has fill-to marks, and follow those guidelines. 5. The inlet hoses one uses with washers can split and leak, so when you are done washing, turn off the water supply to those hoses. That will make them last a longer, and will also eliminate any potential disasters with the washer itself leaking during non-use periods. 6. Clean that lint filter.
