That is, those four sounds will get me a lot of mileage and are not once-in-while special effects. So, for me this is four pedals in the space of two and about the price of two, and that's a bargain. From there, all the extra sounds are the occasional special effects that are the cherries on top. The controls are logical and provide a fair amount of flexibility. In some cases, the controls give you more variations then are available on the corresponding single-size pedal (a juicy benefit). In other cases, like that of the MT-2, the mid-range controls aren't there, so middle boost or scooping is less tweak-able (a minor inconvenience). So, this would be the second improvement I would ask for from BOSS: a middle control (perhaps both level and frequency, please). As for the quality of the tone.If you are a boutique-pedal junkie, then this won't be your main sound, but it might be all those others that you need to fill in the holes.Any minor differences that you perceive - or more likely think you perceive - can be tweaked with your EQ. In those cases you have to tweak things properly and use your brain a bit to get a dead-on reproduction of those pedals - but it is by no means difficult to do and if you understand how to use tone controls properly you can do it in seconds. I don't know why Boss can develop and manufacture sophisticated digital signal processing models such as found in the OD-20, but still can't manage to put a simple, cheap, true bypass circuit in their pedals. I suspect it's because Boss makes a separate line switching pedal (the LS-2 Line Selector) that they don't want to make semi-obsolete by putting true bypass in their other pedals. For that reason, I don't want to give this thing a full 5 stars but think it deserves better than 4 stars, so I'm rounding up to 5 because there's no 4.5 stars option here.

Os outros 2 pedais que eu tenho eu so mantenho porque ja tinha antes de ter este.Paguei 400,00 em 12x no mercadolivre (via Mercadopago) e o pedal esta muito novo, sem nenhum risco. O vendedor pelo jeito falou a verdade quando disse que so havia usado 5 vezes.

Foi minha grande compra do ano (afora o TS9DX por 180,00, o DriveMaster por 150,00 e o Fd-10 da Morley por 199,00). Ontem cheguei em casa e fui testar o bicho: e um pedal excelente. Tenho varios pedais analogicos e as distorcoes do OD-20 nao deixam a dever a ninguem. COm o OD-20 esses problemas somem. COm relacao as simulacoes, a do Tube Screamer e identica ao meu TS9DX, as demais deistorcoes da Boss sao MUITO parecidas, e a do RAT, Big Muff e FuzzFace merecem aplausos. O fato de ter cinco opcoes de drive (manual e memorias de 1 a 4) garantem uma boa versatilidade de sons. Testando ele lado-a-lado com os outros pedais descobri que ele faz as vezes de todos, contudo nao consegui um som parecido ao do Doctor Drive (talvez pela malfaladas valvulas que o pessoal insiste em dizer que estao ali so para enfeite).O que parece que incomoda e o fato de ser digital. Em termos de distorcoes (variedade) e custo-beneficio, qual e melhor, o OD-20 ou a ME-50.Se vc quer ter so pedais, vai de OD-02. Se quer ter pedaleira, e ter tudo sobre controle num so equipamento, vai de Me-50. Ambos sao muito bons, mas com finalidades distintas. Eu ja deixei pedaleiras de lado faz tempo, e hj so junto latinhas hahaha onde a qualidade sonora e muito superior, alem dos que, vc ja tem ali, nos seus pes o som pronto, sem ter que ficar mexendo em equalizacao, oscambau como nas pedaleiras. Quanto a impedancia, nao faz mal nao ter varios pedais, mas dai entramos na discussao do tal True bypass e Buffer (sistemas de acionamento dos pedais), onde no primeiro o som da guita passa intacto com o pedal desligado, e no segundo, em que o som passa pelo circuito do pedal mesmo com ele desligado. As vantagens e desvantagens de um e outro vc pode conferir fazendo uma busca. Olha, com relacao ao OD-20, vc tem tudo que precisa em materia de distorcao, overdrive e fuzz, pois ele simula, com muita qualidade pedais renomados. Alem de ter 4 bancos de memoria.
