The brand is inextricably linked to the passion for the perfect espresso and defines itself as a unique blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology. We really love what we do. At Briel, we intend to distinguish ourselves from the mass-produced small appliances manufacturing by a great attention to the detail and focus on durability and functionality. Quality has always been, and will continue to be, the foundation underpinning everything we do. The initial product range included mixers and vacuum cleaners. With great business dynamics and know-how, it has become a quality symbol over the years. ES35 Chamonix, Best Buy, Dime, Japan. ES15 Lido, Best Buy, Consumer Guide, USA. The competence and skills that we have deepened over time, either by improving processes, by using more durable and ecologically sustainable materials, or by the continuous research and technological development. Of the many thousands of coffee machines Briel produced over the years, equipments that are spread all over the world, the feedback we have is of total satisfaction for its flawless operation: extracting a perfect espresso coffee, day after day, year after year. This frankly positive and global opinion on our products, which speaks for itself, makes us very proud. It is something that can only be fully understood by experiencing an espresso from a Briel coffee machine.

From the robust stainless-steel boiler to the special crema maker filter, to the use of electronic technology designed to control the operation on the latest models, everything is specifically designed, thoroughly developed and exhaustively tested, by ourselves, so that the final result meets any highest expectations. Briel team brings together people with multiple professional backgrounds: the elders who, with all the commitment and dedication, have been working with our brand since its beginning (for over 40 years); highly qualified and experienced technicians in areas with high technological development in recent times such as plastic injection, metalworking and tooling; and also engineers, from the most prestigious universities, sharing their advanced knowledge and expertise in the production and continuous improvement of our coffee machines. More than 90 of the parts that make up our machines are produced in Portugal: beyond the assembly, all plastic and metal parts, including our exclusive stainless-steel boiler and special filter, are made in-house. Even the toolings for all these processes are developed and built, from scratch, by us. The remaining components are predominantly European, as we do not compromise on quality. All these parts are thoroughly checked and controlled before the final assembly, which is performed by very experienced people, with all the care and attention. However, if some maintenance or repair is needed, we guarantee spare parts supply for at least 10 years. We simply cannot see our coffee machines as throw-away small domestic appliances. We believe that all consumers and manufacturers will think this way, getting engaged in an environmental-friendly and ecologically sustainable world development. But, as all Briel customers know, we have been thinking this way for over 40 years, since all our coffee machines are designed to be repairable and serviceable.

Another important factor is the cost-effectiveness: an espresso from ground coffee can cost up to 8 times less than a capsule coffee. Considering the hundreds of coffees that the average consumer and, perhaps, its family have each year, just imagine how much you can save thru the long lifespan of the machine. If you prefer a more practical, quick and clean way to obtain an authentic espresso, our machines are ready to use both ground coffee and ESE (Easy Serving Espresso) standard pods, consisting of mono-doses of pressed coffee, with the appropriate grind and quantity, placed between two sheets of food grade filter paper, with the advantage of being more environmental-friendly than capsules. It is no coincidence that boilers are the preferred technical solution of true professionals and it is the type of configuration we can find in the best and most expensive high-end coffee machines. It all comes down to pressure: if too low, your espresso will be under-concentrated and weak. Although not always necessary, more pressure helps the user to make a better-quality shot, offering greater flexibility and tolerance to different types of grinding and quantity of coffee. It also means that the pump the machine is equipped with is more robust and it will not always be working to the limit of its capacity, providing less wear and ensuring an outstanding durability, without loss of power or efficiency over time. The mechanics of our coffee machines were engineered to work with a 20 bar pump, warranting the smoothest and creamiest espresso shots even in the most demanding situations. All equipped with the best Italian pumps, reliable and durable. We have versions for single (one shot) and double dose (two shots taken simultaneously). It took us years of research and testing to develop and improve this filter so that extracting a good espresso is not exclusive to professional baristas: it is available to everyone. It is really easy.

Our system regulates the water crossing by the coffee powder, increasing the pressure necessary to dispense it, resulting in a flavourful and aromatic crema on the top of your espresso shot. It is a device that is usually found in the best and most expensive high-end coffee machines. If you want more refined results, revealing your motivation to be a true barista, you should keep the pressure fixed, using the grind, the time and the tamp as control variables, adjusting the latter until it feels like perfect to you. Or a latte macchiato. We have good news for you. Briel coffee machines with steam pipe have an excellent frothing capacity of milk, ensuring the very fast availability of a powerful and continuous steam, without the unwanted water remains. The result will be a milk foam at the right temperature, structure, and thickness, which you can use to prepare your favourite drinks. The exceptional continuous steam function of Briel coffee machines is possible thanks to both the use of our boiler, also designed for this application, and the improved electronic control that, in some models, provides micro-injections of water into the boiler without affecting the required high temperature, thus allowing the continuous use of steam even for long periods. Amazon calculates a product’s star ratings based on a machine learned model instead of a raw data average. The model takes into account factors including the age of a rating, whether the ratings are from verified purchasers, and factors that establish reviewer trustworthiness. Pros: good pressure; easy to use and clean; makes great coffee (with fresh beans properly ground).

Cons: steamer arm is short and hard to reach and hard to disassemble to clean (the instructions offer not one word on the topic; the secret is, press the black tabs toward the middle and gently pull down); did I mention the instructions are written in pre-school Martian. I'd buy another, unlike the two Capressos I have donated to the landfill. If you drink espresso straight, and actually like it as a beverage on it's own, don't get with-in a hundred feet of this machine. The espresso it produces is only god-awful luke warm brown caffinated water. I do want to respond to other reviews and point out that the steam arm does turn off after thirty seconds unless you crank the nob as far as it will go. That's all the defence the machine will get, the espressos's passable if you're going to drown it in milk, and the steam arm works (though is set way too low on the machine, I had to put the machine up on an old dictionary to get it high enough off the counter to put a mug under). Get another machine. This one's just not worth it. Please try again later. Hank Caputo 1.0 out of 5 stars It had all the specifications I was looking for at a price that was cheaper than comparable machines. Beware; you get what you pay for. Initially the machine worked well. The temperature of the espresso was not as hot as I'd like, but the steamer worked great. Great that is until the steamer arm broke. Fortunately, it was still under warranty, but to get it serviced was a nightmare. The phone numbers given to call for service directed me to an outside service provider. The service rep was rude, not helpful and would not return my calls. With some help from Amazon's customer service I was able to connect up the service provider. After many emails sent, unanswered emails in return and many months waiting, I received my replacement machine. After two uses of this replacement machine, it's broken again. The steamer works but no longer brews espresso. Rather that hassle with this service nightmare again I've decided to toss this machine and caulk this up as a lesson learned. You get what you pay for. Please try again later. Please try again later. Jack Nicol 2.0 out of 5 stars It is simply a flat rubber or silicone ??? disk with a pin sized hole sandwiched between the portafilter basket and the screen. This pin sized hole sometimes becomes clogged with a stray coffee grain causing the pump to stall. To clean carefully put a needle through the existing hole in the rubber disk be careful not to make a hole where there is none. I completely removed my rubber disk something that is not easy to do but now I don't have to worry about it clogging.

I can now control Crema and flow by tamp and grind. Also the rubber disk eventualy becomes filled with stale rancid coffee oils from yesteryears brew. This can not be prevented since the silicone disk is tightly sandwiched within the portafilter basket obstructing any direct cleaning. To remove this monstrocity CAREFULLY pry around the edges between the screen and portafilter basket with a small sharp screwdriver being careful not to puncture yourself or the filter basket (and boy is it tight) remove screen and lousy disk bend screen back to shape with needle nose pliers and file away any abnormalities leave it just tight enough to snap in so you can poke it out with flat side of a bic pen if necessary (a little more on this as you read) put screen back minus crema disk. This is a slow process and must be done with care. You can use flat side of a bic pen to poke out screen and disk through hole in filter basket (proceed carefully and make sure your screen is properly loosened) if you wish to save crema disk for those days when your grinder is out and you have only.Again this job is not for the squeamish it takes a minimum of a couple of hours if you have any doubts just stick to cleaning with a needle whenever portafilter clogs. Also using tamp and grind to control crema and espresso flow requires a good quality BURR coffee grinder capable of fine espresso grind along with trial and error practice. Please try again later. I cannot see carrying the whole machine to the sink for awkward washing and there's nothing worse than rank, spoiled milk on the steaming wand. If you put in more, the handle will not move into the correct position. I found the two scoops to be a weak coffee. Also, the manufactured crema is misleading because it appears with the first drip.

Susan Gentry 1.0 out of 5 stars I called the toll free number for service, and I have to ship it to New Jersey - and I'm in Illinois!! It made great espresso and capuccino while it lasted, but six months isn't long and certainly not worth the purchase price. It will be cheaper for me to buy another, less expensive model. Please try again later. Please try again later. C. Schechter 2.0 out of 5 stars I wanted to get the same quality of coffee at home. I am very dissapointed. Seeing that other buyers have had the same problem, I would not reccommend this machine. Please try again later. Please try again later. The espresso is brewed at the required 190 degrees F, and the machine has 15 bars of pump pressure. It's speedy, brewing 2 cups in about 35 seconds. It also makes good cappuccino, because of its included frothing wand, and can be used both with ground coffee and with ESE coffee pods.

Some other nice features include a patented Cremaker filter, which provides a richer crema on each espresso, a removable water tank, a no-drip system, two thermostats that regulate the coffee cycle and steaming process, and a third safety thermostat located on the pump that notices abnormal use. Made of sturdy black plastic, this machine won't shame any counter. It has 1,260 watts of power and a 10-year pump warranty. --A.J. Rathbun Editor's note: This item may arrive with water inside from the manufacturer's pressure test. This is a normal occurrence and doesn't point to a problem with the machine.Amazon calcula la calificacion de estrellas de un producto utilizando un modelo de aprendizaje mecanico en lugar de un promedio de datos sin procesar. How Much Coffee Do I Use In A 12 Cup Machine To Make A Regular Pot? This espresso coffee is prepared by a very small shot of espresso. They are considered to be among the pioneers in the development and construction of coffee and more specifically espresso machines for domestic use. The ABS was launched, the first coffee machine with a body made entirely of plastic. It was a huge global hit and moved the company to the higher echelons of the worlds expanding coffee machine market. The company prides themselves on paying close attention to detail and pushing the boundaries of what a home espresso system can achieve, by keeping all aspects of development in- house. Briel have two internally developed systems for heating the water to the correct level. The stainless steel boiler is the traditional system, used in most Briel products. This is extremely reliable and saves a great deal on energy-Briel are committed to making all their products as eco friendly as possible. It has a great capacity for heat conduction, which in partnership with a highly efficient mechanism for electronic management produces steam instantly and continuously. The dry bath system also acts as a safety valve, limiting the pressure within it, to make sure the produced espresso has the desired velvety and creamy finish. This series can be used with freshly ground coffee or easy serving espresso pods. Briel's latest espresso machine is the Apollo, which has been nominated for several industry awards. Briel have played a huge role into bringing the espresso into the domestic house hold, and continue to set the standard for home espresso machines throughout the world. I bought this grinder after researching lots of options for a hand grinder to use at home and in my office. I'm really impressed with it. And so much supportive info on the website, which is really helpful for a home barista newbie like me. Buy it, you'll love it. Nicole K Great Grinder, Awesome Company. I love my JavaPresse Burr Grinder. I bought it a few months back, and I use it daily. I love being able to grind fresh grounds at work. The grinder produces a very even grind, and the coarse setting is perfect for my French Press. It's easy to clean and very portable. I'm already planning to put it in my suitcase on my next trip. In addition to being a great product, the JavaPresse company is amazing. Shortly after I got the grinder, I lost one of the tiny washers (down the sink) when I was cleaning. Customer Service didn't even hesitate. They immediately sent out a full washer replacement set. I was very impressed with their level of support. I recommend both this product and everything else this company sells. Kamil A. Manual Burr Coffee Grinder. Excellent customer service, the grinder is in great quality, but there is only problem is the coffee grinder produces a inconsistent grind when it is set to coarse mode. It does great job in grinding coffee from very fine to medium, but I think this grinder is not intended for French press maker. I will be happy to see upgraded version of the grinder, especially in getting rid of the blur wobble Amber hadley Love my burr grinder. Started using javapresse burr grinder 6 months ago. I can confirm grinding my own coffee makes for a more enjoyable cup of coffee. Not only does this company have amazing products but the customer service is beyond wonderful ! Corey C. Simple and effective tool. It takes a bit longer then using my electric grinder, but the grind size is much more consistent which makes it more than worth the little bit of extra time and effort.
I no longer get the coffee dust that leads to sludge at the bottom of my cup. I'm tossing my electric grinder in favor of this one. Alex G. Coffee Grinder. I love your coffee grinder. After plenty of research, yours was the one that had everything coffee enthusiasts recommended. I’m using the same brand of coffee I’ve always used except I made the switch to whole bean. Fresh ground coffee is amazing. I like the different settings that allow me to customize the ground based on my brewing method. I currently use a pour over filter, but I’ll be trying a French press and Aeropress next. Nathaniel C. Pleasantly surprised! The ability to adjust the grind size and the consistency of the the grind were two standouts. Only downside is the time it takes to grind (approximately 8-10 grams a minute). I'll be using this for my camping trips though, so I'll have plenty of downtime. Kenneth Slaughter Coffee Grinder. I recently purchased a manual grinder from JavaPresse, because of many positive reviews on Amazon. I initially had some trouble figuring out how to set the grind setting properly, and then grinding my first batch. I thought it might be something amiss with the grinder, although I really wasn't sure about that at all. I emailed the company, not really seeking a refund or a replacement, but mostly to see if they had any tips. To my surprise, they sent a new grinder and refunded my money. The new grinder works great, and I have now become addicted to grinding my coffee manually, which is kind of a therapeutic exercise. The coffee seems to taste better. Because of this excellent service, I decided to sign up for the coffee club. I just ordered my first bag. I am sold on this company because of the customer service, and can't wait to receive my first bag of coffee beans. Rachel Immediate fan. Bought this grinder (along with a French press and coffee subscription) for the office as an alternative to our unfortunate K-cup situation and I'm an immediate fan.
